INTERNATIONAL professional services recruitment firm Morgan McKinley has released its Asia-Pacific employment monitor, which shows employment opportunities across the region have grown by 37 per cent from the first quarter of last year to the first quarter of this year. THE 2014 Hays Salary Guide has found 64 per cent of businesses are willing to sponsor or employ an overseas candidate in areas where they have shortages.

The survey found 58 per cent of employers thought the nation’s skills shortage had the potential to hamper their business operations — 41 per cent finding it would impact them in a minor way and 17 per cent significantly. (more…)
